Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM) Satellite

The two remaining Landsat observatories, L5 and L7, have exceeded their design lifetimes and will likely exhaust their fuel supply in 2010. LDCM will continue the Landsat heritage, obtaining unique and valuable data and imagery to be used in agriculture, education, business, science, and government.

LDCM collects multi-spectral land images, and can accommodate optional solar irradiance and thermal infrared land imaging sensors.
