Aerial Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Surveillance
General Dynamics has partnered with the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) to develop novel collection approaches and integrate commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) collection devices into unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platforms. An example is the four-ounce bio-sampler incorporated into the Dragon Eye Advanced Tactical Recce UAV. General Dynamics provides the capability to combine chemical and nuclear detection devices with our proprietary biological sampling system, which uses Verigel, a proprietary biocompatible collection coating. The coating aids in the collection of biological particles from the environment when it is applied to lightweight packed-bead sampler media.
